It's the END of September and fall is definitely here! It was cool today and WINDY! Did anybody else notice that?!? So we had chili for supper, yummy! Always a cool day favorite! Troy and I are both at the END of colds. Never a fun time and there is so many going around. Troy and Colby went and cut wood for our wood stove. Colby is becoming a good helper! He helped to load and stack the wood. We went to the volleyball and football game Friday night! It was good games. A tough loss in football, but what can you do? It is the END of volleyball for Jessie Maddux, my niece, she hurt her shoulder, that is a whole other story, but it was senior parents night. So Jessie and Mike and Barb all got recognized! I am glad Jessie is still supporting her team even though she can't play. Colby and Kalli wore Wau-Pal Bronco shirts and were happy to cheer for there favorite team. Colby also cheered for his favorite cheerleader Bryn Vapenik! HA! It was a very busy week and I think next week will be too! But I guess I wouldn't know what to do if it wasn't! THE END!

This weekend was Kalli's baby shower! It was a lot of fun! Some friends that I had not seen in a year or more showed up and alot of family, including two of my aunt, who I don't see very often and more good old friends. My sisters Jennifer and Lori, my niece Sabrina and my sister-in-law Barb put it on for me! They did a wonderful job. I had fun! We had fun playing goofy games and eating good food. Jennifer bought me a scrapbook and had each person make a page for me. It was an awesome idea! I have only done this a little bit, so now I am really wanting to get into it! Saturday night I got to spend time with my sisters and their families! It was alot of fun! I LOVE my nieces and nephew and spending time with them, what a great weekend!

New Job

Yeah! Finally I will have some more income coming in, plus if I end up crazy I will have a reason now! Yes I am going to be a postal worker at the Enders Post Office. I am a releif worker, so it is just part-time for when someone is sick or needs a day off. Which works for me, so I can keep working at the court house and the big reason getting to be home with the kids! I will have to work every Saturday morning for 3 hours, but hey work is work! I am so excited!

What this MOM has to put up with!

(PLEASE NOTE I DO ACTUALLY WATCH MY KIDS, EVEN THOUGH THESE STATEMENTS MAKES IT SOUND LIKE I DON'T!)

OK, this week has been full of excitment. One day I was washing dishes and Colby was quiet, as a parent you should know right away something was wrong, so I turn around to see Colby with a glue stick. Colby loves chapstick so I go running over and ask Colby did you put that on your lips! He says ya and smiles. I guess it would have been nice to have it be quiet for awhile, but we wiped it off.

Then another day Colby shows me a picture, "Look Mom I made this for you!" Oh how nice I thought as I notice those are not the stickers I told him he could have, those are my postage stamps!

Then the other night we were getting Colby ready for bed and we ask him do you need to go pee? He says, "Ya I love to go pee!" When I hug him and tuck him into bed he says, "Mom, I love peeing and pooping, it is my favorite!" Without laughing I say that is great son, I am so happy for you!

We played hide and go seek this week too. Colby does not have it figured out. When he counts of course sometimes he does good, it is only to 5 or 10, he is only 3, but other times is is 1, 3 8, 7, 10, ready or not. And he does not close his eyes and he will follow you around. Then if you tell him to hide he is laughing so hard, it is easy to find him. And if you pretend to walk by him he yells, "Here I am!"

But he got to stay all night with Grandma Joan and Papa one night and he had tons of fun. He slept on the couch, Papa's bed and the spare bed. He wants to stay every night now!

Colby also helped his dad work on vehicles and he got to go on lots of 4-wheeler rides. Or as he calls it on the wheeler. He helped me pick vegetable out of the garden and he helped me mow. OK, he walked along with his pretend mower where I had mowed! Can't wait till he gets big enough to actually mow!

Kalli is 3 months old on the 15th! She is holding her head up really good. She loves when someone talks to her. She would smile all day. Today she almost rolled over! It was really close! I was so excited! I hope I am the first to see it, working sometimes lets other people see your childrens firsts! Which sucks!

Troy came home early on Friday to spend time with the kids. They loved it! He went archery hunting for deer this weekend. He is so excited to be hunting again. He is like a little kid getting ready to go to McDonalds. He just can't wait! To me it sounds crazy to sit at the top of a tree or in a blind in a snow storm in the middle of a corn field and freeze to death to shoot an animal! But if it wasn't so cold I would be along beside him to take a picture of it! SO we all have our crazy favorite things to do and his puts food on the table.

Thank You God

Today was one of those days of not much going on, so I spent alot of time on the computer looking at peoples blogs, some of people I don't even know that well, researching things and thinking. As I write this my 3 month old is in my arm crying and my 3 year old is writing on his arm with a pen, the dog and cat are fighting, bills are due and money is short, my husband has been working late all week, I can't find a job and I think how LUCKY I am! You may think I'm crazy! I do many days! I thank God for giving me this life to live! I want to thank God for giving me 2 healthy children! You know you say a prayer with every meal and pray at bed time and of course at the bad times in life you pray a little harder. But sometimes you get so busy in life and times seem to be bad and you think how could things get much worse! But then you realize things could be so much worse. I have had a hard time this past year with some major health issues, losing a great job and the idea of not having any more kids, but thank god for what I do have, TWO MIRACLES! Two children who are healthy and for the most part happy! A great big family who is always there to support me and help in any way they can! I think you realize how much worse things can be when you go to a Big hospital and see people especially children having to go through hard times, harder than you. I know there are times we are all screaming at our house, sorry neighbors, and I am going to try to be a little more patient and let the little things slide! I pray for all of you out there who read this, whether you know me, or if you are someone like me who stumbled across this blog to thank God for what you do have. I pray God throws you a few easy hard times to make you stronger and to make you grow, whether you want it or not! I pray for you to have the strength to get through it and for the belief to make it happen! I will stop now and hope you all don't think I was preaching to you. I am not the most religious person, in fact I don't go to church every week, but just had to get some thoughts out of my head and on to paper or I guess on the computer! God Bless You All

THE HOSKOVEC'S

Well it was a mini Hoskovec reunion over the weekend at the lake at Cambridge where Troy's mom and dad live. Troy's brother Todd was back along with his wife who is expecting and daughter Elisabeth, who we have not seen in 2 whole year! They live in Virginia and we sure did enjoy seeing them. We got to know little Elisabeth and we all love her so much. We hope to see them a little more than 2 years. Troy's sister Michelle and three kids Trey, Tristen and Sierra came down and brought Grandma Georgia. We only see them a couple times a year too, so it was good to see how the kids have grown. Then of course Troy's brother Mitch and his wife Sarah and Troy's mom and dad, Mike and Peg and us Troy, Julie, Colby and Kalli. Which I have to say even though we see them alot, we LOVE every minute of seeing them. Oh and how could I forget we brought our dog Bowser, Mitch's dog Zip and Mike and Pegs dogs Dandy, CC and cat Sherlock. They are a part of the family too. We didn't do anything really special just had fun being a family! And that was the best part! I am putting in a whole bunch of slides because I have so many pictures! Mike was calling me the Wauneta Breeze, I think I prefer the Hoskovec Herald! Here are a few of my favorites. Oh and by the way in my last blog I stated I had 12 nieces and nephews, that was just on the Maddux side! I have 18 nieces and nephew! What a lucky girl I am!

My Great Niece's

Here are my two great niece's! I just got these pictures from there mom Sabrina and I think they are so cute I had to put them on here! Lilian is 5 months and Mandy is 2 years old! Aren't they very adorable! As is all of my 10 nieces and nephews not including these two! Yes I am an aunt to 12 at the young age of 25! I love them all!

September

It's September all ready, can you believe it! The past week Colby had to go to work. He helped his Papa, Uncle Mike, and Aunt Barb stack bales. He thought it was so cool! Poor kid he has so much to learn. He also got to help Papa bale big round bales, he was very proud of that. I am very HAPPY that Colby gets to grow up with all of the family so close. He is going to learn the values of hard work! I went to North Platte with Sarah Hoskovec, my sister-in-law, on Saturday with out any kids! I should have brought my camera, we had fun just goofing around. But we had to laugh because every where we went I kept saying I am forgetting something, I don't go any where with out at least one of the kids or at least the diaper bag! HA! Then yesterday was the Labor Day Auction, the Granddaddy of them All! How can you not love it! I got a couch for $10 and a box of good Wrangler jeans for $2! Plus a breast collar and stirrups for a saddle for $5. Oh ya and a sunburn!

Kalli is still sucking her thumb, Troy laughs that is is going to poke her eye out, she has not learned to make a fist yet!
